MUSE EVENT #3
Due to my class schedule I was not able to find another class member to attend my MUSE workshop with. I was able to go to a workshop called Spring Registration. There they went into specific things to look for when registration for classes (like the importance of reading the class description). How to be able to balance your schedule, so you allow yourself time to eat, rest and reorganize yourself for the following class. They also showed where it says the date your able to start registering for classes. I was unaware of the fact that students are only allow 14 units and anything after that you will have to go and ask for a code for a teacher for additional courses. They explained the whole hold situation and how it is so important to register as soon as it is off because that same day 3,000 other students could have their holds released as well. If students are on the waiting list the most recommended thing to do would be to attend the class (crash classes) the first day so hopefully you are allowed to join. They ended with teaching us about our degree progress and how to look for courses in certain areas like D1 for example. Over all this was an interesting workshop. I encourage everyone to attend it, even if you think you have the concept of registration down. It won’t hurt you.
