Niggaz with attitude also known as N.W.A. released their hit album “Straight Outta Compton” in 1989. This group was formally known for talking about real life situations that were occurring in the suburbs. They kept it real talking about drug dealing, street violence, racial cops, and crack ho’s. With their Album on the way to the top of the charts, N.W.A. was accused by the F.B.I. of promoting violence with their music lyrics. However, this did not stop the album consumption and over 1 Million copies were sold by the end of 1989. Radio stationed banned the playing of their music, and at times were stopped from going out on tour. N.W.A. marked the beginning of the new ear; Gangsta Rap music. The group was active from 1986 to 1991 consisting of Eazy E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, DJ Yella, and Arabian Prince. After splitting Dre, Cube, Eazy and Ren went platinum as solo artist.
