Non - Muse Event # 1

Over this 4 day weekend I attended a Flag Football Club Meeting and actually got on a team and went out and played Saturday. I really enjoyed going out and actually playing an organized sport, it has been a while since I played (High School). The way this works is you’re in charge of getting your own team together and you enter a briquette and every weekend you play a different team. Then the teams with the best records go on to the playoffs until there is a champion. The games are played on South Campus where you usually would tailgate before a Football Game, all day Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately my team lost our first game. It wasn’t like a blowout game or anything, we just happen to lose by a touchdown. Overall it was a good experience, a great way to come out of the bubble and meet new people, I mean we are in college. I plan on sticking with this club sport because it is a great way to get some exercise (I know you have heard about those freshman 15. Don’t want that to happen)J. Next weekend I promise we will come home with a W. This first game was just a tester to see where we stand. I have a pretty solid team and we know what we have to work on to be a better team. I encourage everyone to go out and play football or if maybe football just isn’t your sports go and enter a club and gave it a shot to see if you enjoy it.

  1. Good for you! It sounds like a fun way to meet some new folks ... and ward off that freshman 15.
