Study Tip #2

Trying to be a successful student in college could put a lot of stress on one, so one must understand what it really means to be successful. Being successful is being able to achieve something you have desired, planned, or achieved. I believe that in order to e a successful students you must have a clear understanding of what your goal is. It's always a good to write your goals down and place them in eye sight so your able to view them everyday . In order to be successful you must be able to put things aside and know that sometimes it's going to require you to stay home on a Saturday night (that's when you ask yourself how important this goal setting really is). My three main ideas on being successful are

  1. Be a Hard Worker,
  2. But Smart .

One last thing is to remain positive sometimes a little failure is just a wake up call to guide you back on track and make you realize that you must work harder.

P.S. AN AGENDA WORKS GREAT!! :-)

Music List #2

Sex Songs :

  1. Making Good Love - Avant
  2. Birthday Sex - Jeremih
  3. Get You Wet - Plies
  4. My Neck My Back - Khia
  5. Grind On Me - Pretty Ricky

Drug Songs :

  1. Fuck On Cocain - DJ Caffeine
  2. Pill Poppin Animal - Lil Wayne
  3. Money, Drugs - Lil Wayne
  4. Sex and Drugs - Hyper Crush
  5. The Ghetto - Too Short

Out of all the following songs, I would have to say my favorite song is Get you Wet by Plies. That's my forite song because the lyrics are really good and flows really smooth. Thats the type of song you can listen while getting ready to go out and It just pumps you up. Its also the type of song you play really soft when hanging out with someone special and it magically always just happens to set the mood. Those are probably the two major points why I really like the song.

Google: Mark Anthony Ramirez

After Googling my name and skimming through a various amounts of pages, i wasn't able to locate myself online. I honestly don't know what my reaction would be if i was to find myself doing something embarrassing online. Even though you could always just go back and delete yourself though. For example your Myspace and Facebook are available to be accessible to the public through Google and anyone could possible find out information about yourself that's posted. I personally never use my real name due to predators or just because technology is so advanced that you never know what could occur with your mug shot on it, so for that case I'd rather play it safe. Right now i don't see it as a big factor if my Myspace or Facebook pictures were accessible but I'm sure that in the near future I would probably end up deleting them if they were able to be viewed. I wouldn't look to good when I'm applying to a major cooperation/firm and the C.E.O. randomly decides to do a Google check on his future employee. Magically a picture of me comes up and I'm doing a kage-stand happens to pop-up. That wouldn't look to good and he could possible just go on to the next best candidate. You actually never know who just wants to check up on you, it could be your mom or even a future girlfriend. ha lol. I don't plan on having any of my personal information online any time soon and when it does get on ill be sure to delete it.

Music Memory #1: REVISED

Growing up the variety of music I have listened to, has been very different from one another. As a kid my mother would basically sing the classic kid songs to me. There is one song in particular that I remember; “Hush Little Baby”. I recall my mother playing that song every time I would start acting like a brat because I wasn't able to get my ways. Since, I had an older sister my taste for music started being established around the age of 8 towards RNB. I would mostly listen to the RnB love songs. This was around the same era that M.T.V. had just came out and you were not only able to listen to music on T.V., but as well you could also watch videos along with your favorite songs. I stayed in that RNB era for a long time I remember I would sit on my couch and just fantasize about have all the flashy things I would see the artist wearing and using (the money, cars, clothes, and the girls). I stayed in that HIP HOP / RNB era for the longest time. Around the age of 17 my change for friendships had an impact on the music I started listening to. Since I lived on the island a lot of reggae was always played, so I went more along those lines. These past two summers I spent every day at the beach playing my I-POD and listening to reggae. I do not really have any group in particular that I absolutely like. I do listen to a lot of Tribal Seeds, SOJA, Katchafire, and Revolution very often though. I am really not into heavy metal, I would not mind listening to it, but it is not something you would find on my I-POD. Other than that, I rotate around from different genders of music. You never know one day I will have 2-Pac on and the next it will be the Temptations, it all depends on my mood.

Study Tips: My Preference

I'm a very social person and i love to interact with people as you may have noticed from class. When preparing for a Test, Exam, or just simply trying to stay up to date with a class i prefer to study in groups of 3 - 5. The reason behind that is that your able to receive different perspectives on the topic (ranging from reading a chapter or just simply solving a math problem). I choose this method because your able to gather more information and get a better understanding of the concept, because you have more minds working as one on a topic. The more people your able to join up the better. I personally try to keep it to a maximum of 5 because anything over that and we'll have distraction and we tend to get off topic very easily. Its also a great way to get some of your closest friends together and jut simply catch upon things while you study at the same time. Those are some of the major pointers why i believe studying in a group is a great key and why its been so successful more me form time to time.

Top 10 Favorite Songs:REVISED

1. It wasn't Me – Shaggy- I really enjoy the lyrics in this song because it talks about most guys. How we have a girlfriend but were always creeping around. Then finally the day we get caught up we, deny everything to the fullest. It pretty much just makes me think of my old high school days and how I use to be.
2. Regulators - Warren G. – This song has a lot of meaning to me. This song was probably the first song I actually listened to consistently growing up. I remember this was the song; the older boys were playing this so if you played it, you felt like you were just as cool. This song just pretty much makes me remember of all the good times I had back home with my close friends.
3. Nobody does it better - Warren G – This was the theme to all our sports home games. When I listen to this song it makes me remember of all those memories I have with my previous sports team. I played 4 years of basketball, football, and golf; so I have had to opportunity to listen to this song various times and create a meaning behind it.
4. Nice and Slow - Usher – There is not much to say about this song. I’m pretty sure that if you were born in the 90’s this was probably your first slow song you danced too. I know for me and a lot of my friends it was, so it’s just a classic, and till this I day I know the name of the first girl I stepped on, on the dance floor (Maria). 
5. Competition - E 40 – This is the song most guys play when there’s this girl you like and she has a man. But you feel like you’re the better person for her. So you play this song because it just hits you straight in the heart by talking about what you’re feeling. Helps you express what your feeling are by just singing it. Once you’re done your all relaxed and everything seems to be falling in place.
6. Get Away - Katchafire – everyone has that song that just helps them relax and calm themselves down. This one does it to me, because it talks about getting away into a special place and that’s just how I feel sometimes when stuff starts building up. I just need to go for a 30 minute walk, and relax myself so I don’t have a mental breakdown. And this just seems to ease my nerves the best, in times of need.
7. Get it on tonight - Montell Jordan. 8. I’ll make love to You - KCI&JOJO. 9. All My Life - KCI&JOJO (They're classics).
Both of these songs should go under the all-time “baby making playlist”. These are the type of songs you play when you’re trying to have a special night with that special someone. You dim the nights; put the music on slow, and one way or another, these two songs just seem to be the beginning of a great night.

10. Put me in the game - Lil Wayne Quite frankly there is no specific reason why I listen to this song as much as I do. I pretty much just like the base in the background. Lil Wayne is an all-time rapper. He just puts so much feeling into his music it is unbelievable. This song talks about how he was suck a good athlete and getting the winning touchdown. So when I hear it I relate with his feelings, because I’ve had my fare share moments of glory days.
